Yasodāman I was the second of four sons of Dāmasena who came to the throne. Either the brothers were getting killed in war, or else there was a
constant struggle for power and fratricide was the order of the day. Yasodāman had a very short reign spanning just two years, as a result of which his coins are
quite scarce. He issued coins as kshatrapa in the year 160, perhaps while his brother was still on the throne, and then coins as mahakshatrapa in the years 160 and 161.
